Haven't watched a full game with it yet but my only concern is whether we'll be too aware of it. That clip going around feels extra rushed but that's mainly cuz the pitcher was pitching way quicker than he needed to. That honestly felt jarring. I thought they should've made it more like 17-18 seconds since most pitchers are around there already.

I also hope the clock is not that visible or visible at all from the centerfield camera. Seeing it distracts from the play and makes me anxious for no reason lol.
It's just a visual/presentation adjustment that's needed probably. I'm sure you don't feel that way about the NBA shot clock, because it's usually out of the way

Another concern I had was pitchers getting on the same page with catchers but the pitch com should help with that including them trying out one where the pitchers can choose the pitch.

For the record -----

I don't think the problem was ever really pitchers taking long to throw. It was that they have all these goddamn commercials in between innings.

That said, what are the odds that 5 or 10 years from now, these 2 hour and 30 minute games that we might see now in 2023....devolve back to 3 hour games once the owners decide they want to fill the half hour they saved with more ad revenue?

I like the rule. Maybe it's a bit too quick but nobody needs to see batting glove adjustments, strolls around the mound and 10 second windups. This is something that I think will make the games more enjoyable in the long run. We have been complaining about the lack of action and balls in play and this should help both of those. I think the players will adjust and it will only pop up a handful of times as an issue.

I'm definitely becoming a bitter old man because I want these hitters to be ready to hit and pitchers to be ready to throw. :flabbynsick:

Wha happens if it runs out and pitcher hasn’t pitched?

I think it’s a great idea. I love baseball and watching it but damn it drags. Crazy, sometimes you can fall asleep during the game, wake up and they in the top of the 8th with one out lmbo.

I’m in favor of speeding up the game
