i think he definitely would've rolled with premier, puff would've still been big on samplin' an 80's classics because he was still doin' that shyt at the time so the hitmen would've still been behind the boards, i bet with nikkas like timbaland this time around. maybe dre but dre at the time was consumed with workin' on 2001

As long as he didn't with swizz

Biggie was much like Jay in that even though he was a transcendent emcee, his music always sounded very much like what was hot at the time.

RTD was a boom bap album.
LAD was a mafioso album.

Just look at what was hot in 2000 and therein lies your answer.

Would've dropped '99 most likely.

People forget Biggie dropped the Junior Mafia album. Then wrote for Kim on Hardcore. Then wrote for Puff on No Way Out. While getting into a car accident that put him out of action for a long time and crippled him.

I love Biggie as a MC. His last verses showed he was still improving. But what I find as interesting as where he was going musically is where he was going as a mogul.

Rap wise Biggie was still improving.

I'm pretty sure though that Puff would have had biggie on some ultra jiggy shyt though...going poppier and poppier.

Born Again was prob an indicator or where Puff wanted to take that album.

LAD was only half good to me though. Literally could do without half of the tracks.

RTD will forever be one of my favorite albums of all time though.

I think biggie would have reached his peak lyrically

Biggie didn't seem to be mourning pac death at all, but I believe pac going to a god like level would have had him make a "we will survive, where did we go wrong pac" type of song.

I think biggie would have expanded and started to do music with no limit records, dmx, eve etc.

I think biggie as a competitor would have taken his beefs with nas and wu tang specifically Rae and ghost more public

I think biggie would have went harder at his own record company might have split with puff by his 3rd album and put cam and diplomats on a whole different level. I also believe biggie would have been the person to discover guys like beanie Siegal and 50 Cent and put them on.

Biggie was true artist, he would have found his way. He was not just made great because of his death, he truly was a special talent.
