I always thought it was underrated, even tho it was WAY too short (only 87 minutes? )

Me neither. There was an animated movie where they were going through different worlds, they met the 1980's turtles, and even the black and white comic ninja turtles. That was probably the GOAT animated ninja turtles movie.

Yeah this one came and went but it got #1 in the box office in its debut. What I didn't know is it was actually a continuation of the movie trilogy.
