hell. pull up the old fukking celtics season threads on here. the ones before u clowns were registered. i was advocating like shyt to trade the draft pick or try and bring in love or other vets ASAP because then i thought we'd have to lose Rondo on pennies on the dollar and i wanted to keep him around. as a matter of fact... @Gil Scott-Heroin argued/clowned me when i made a thread way back when wondering about if ainge damaged some franchise credibility by shipping out KG/Pierce...and going with a young unproven coach because it could make our cap-space a moot point by decreasing interest from free agents and puts 10x more emphasis on the draft which could backfire. i co-signed initially the idea to trade...then posted the thread as an almost devil's advocate thread to myself and got clowned when i wondered if keeping pierce/kg and being decent (6-8 seed)..then re-signing them for super cheap, keeping them as role players and bringing in guys with the cap space with rondo would be a better 3/4 year route. My initial reaction was correct in all likelihood and i like the current trajectory of the team but i am clearly not his alias nor am i a hater. some of you guys are just creepily obsessed. i dont even want to know how u feel about tom brady or big papi if you are pats or sox fans

probably..but you have to start somewhere and i didnt mind rollin with rondo. i really didnt..and i still dont tbh. things could be worse. he's competitive, intelligent and has championship experience. whatever. at the draft..there was hella speculation and i was PRAYING we didnt take smart because i thought that meant that we were not getting Love and Rondo would be gone for peanuts. plus i didnt really think smart was worth such a high pick. smart has impressed me and has somewhat won me over but i'd still like to keep rondo if its reasonable.

i just think its insane to not listen to trade offers if hes not going to extend his deal before free agency and i think its insane that hes even considered by some of these guys to be better than steph curry. its hard to really rank rondo because hes so unconventional of a player so im abstaining from that. but lawson is a good/very good player and mozgov has potential and is a rim protector..so if rondo doesnt want to extend..and that trade is on my table im likely to accept it. other factors would be if i want rondo's cap space (because gov and law arent expiring) and if im drafting a big early (which makes mozgov less important)...but thats a damn good deal. lawson is averaging 16ppg and 10 apg..higher PER than Rondo. hes having a below average shooting year for him..but hes a career 47% shooter. hes also younger than rondo. in trade machine...rondo/faverani for mozgov/lawson makes the celts 4 wins better in projected and the nuggets 6 games worse...aka nothing like that save for us tossing in firsts is gonna happen. so to think thats a poor trade for us is truly mindblowing
