This may be the dumbest post I've ever read.

Really amazing how materialistic people can be. So sad, you can't take none of that shyt with you when you die.

Who the fukk cares? If dude got G5 dreams let that man do his thing. Everybody is materialistic, broke just say they're not as a defense mechanism.

so ur household brings in 90k..............

lets not blur the lines here

Yea… but the only bills that are split are rent, food, and utilities. I'm still paying my own insurance, cell phone, student loans, credit card, and engagement ring payments. And we are taking care of a child on top of that. So what exactly are you saying?

People are claiming that they need 150K to live comfortably as a single person. We don't even bring in 100K, with plenty of bills, and a child, and we live comfortably….

And another thing… being comfortable is only relative to a point. I think there is a specific meaning the OP had in mind when he said "comfortable." As in…. what amount of money do you think you could live with and be happy, even if you didn't reach what you hope to be your fullest potential…

For instance… I hope to be making 150 - 200K at some point. But I could live comfortably at 50K.

I would like to have a 3500-4000 sq ft house… but I could live comfortably in a 2500 sq ft house.

I would like to drive an audi A8, fully loaded…. but I could live comfortably with an audi A4 with the sports package.

We're not talking about your ideal situation… we're talking about, at what point would you be comfortable, even if you didn't reach your ideal situation, UNLESS your ideal situation is the ONLY way you'll ever be happy.

According to Mogulite, the findings show that those with a total household income of less than $75,000 overall had lower levels of emotional well-being and satisfaction with their state of life. However, those who made more than that amount didn't see a significant increase in their happiness.

Dont know breh... I'm making that now and I'm still thirsty. $75K a year seems like a lot until you're making it. After taxes, 401K, Uncle Sam and Fica fukk you anally for there isnt much left. And that is living in the SOuth East United States where life is supposed to be cheaper.

I have no kids and no wife. My only debt is student loans

I still rent an apartment but thats because im picky as fukk about where i wanna live for the long term. The homes i want are out of my price range. Not that I dont make enought to be approved for the loans. I just have a certain number in my head that is acceptable to pay for rent/mortgage and refuse to go over that.

My ideal salary would allow me to pay all my bill with HALF my bi-weekly paycheck. PERIOD.

To many variables depends where you live, how much debt you have, single or married. Renting or mortgage, have kids or not.

If your frugal or high maintenance

subjective to Location in the US...kids/wife etc....bills....level of eduation..
If me and wifey can clear 130-150K for the next 3-4 years I would be OK with an inflation adjusted 80K or so forever. I just wanna put like 1/2 down on a 300K house. Mortgage would be like $800/mo. I can do dat :noah:

At this time I'd like to net $5000 a month. It would be a salary where I could live on less than half, still stack at least $2000 a month and have plenty money left over for fun things.
