What do you guys know about Gamergate?

Feminism is trying hard. It's a popular topic in pc circles too. Rock paper shotgun, a great pc gaming site, is all over it.

It kinda makes sense though. More and more women are gaming, which is a good thing.

Hopefully the bad parts of feminism aren't brought along. I'm all for equality between the sexes, but some feminists take it way, way too far.

I think it's interesting that 'gamers' are expected to be so progressive on these issues

Man the late great george carlin had such a brilliant mind when deconsrtructing society.


He had a bit about feminisim from about 25 years ago and it hit the nail on the head. And this was before the social media age, before feminism has become a farce. He basically said feminisn is a good thing as an idea but they take it too far. It underminds the entire movement. And basically amounts to bored over priviledged white women who want more for themselves and dont give a shyt about any other race of women.


And its true now more than ever. I play video games, like most, as an escape from reality. Just like people watch movies. So for a small time I can just free my mind and forget I live in such a horrible world.

I got into an argument with a female friend on fb about this weeks ago. Saying video games make men have unrealistic expectations of women. I just cant believe the bullshyt that comes put feminists mouths. I watch that show ep daily/reviews on the run and that bytch marissa roberto always complains about women being portrayed badly. But not once has she complained about how men are portrayed. They dont want equality. They want more for themselves.

Gaming journalism is a fukking joke. I dont trust any of them.


Reviews are so inconsistent. They rip games apart for one thing then let other games slide.


Every single bethesda game are buggy messes. Sometimes unplayable. Yet reviewers dont dock points for it. The combat in the elder scroll games is laughable. But it isnt held against it.

Between payolas and all the other shady shyt i just view them as all having agendas one way or the other.

I don't know much about gamergate but I support them at times and are totally against them at times. It's just hard to call. That Zoe chick being a slut and getting better reviews is one thing and the whole forced parity for games is another. I just don't want gaming to be taken over by feminists or major video games corporations that believe they can force the consumer to buy whatever that put out.

When it comes to video game reviews now I mainly come to thecoli to get straight truth and I go to IGN for videos.
