seems like an Islamic concept then. There's these things called Jins(sp) in Islam that are on a different plane than us but same space. But if that were the case then what we'd be seeing were an illusion right? I can't fathom, us switching wave frequencies or summin like walky talkys and there being a whole new establishment undereneath my feet.
That's a great comparison. and yes, correct. Jinn - the source of inspiration for Jinni or Genie. The story goes, when Allah created the race of being known as the Jinn from a smokeless flame (I believe its said to be Blue in color). then came Man, the Jinn or more specifically the Chief Jinn "Shaytan" was against Allah's plans to be merciful to Man so "Shaytan" rebelled. another interesting note, in Islamic belief it states that on the day of judgement the worlds will switch and we'll be able to see the Jinn but the Jinn wont be able to see us (Currently it is believe the Jinn can see us and we only see the Jinn when they want to make themselves known to us). It is also of interest to note that not all Jinn are Muslim, in the sense they do not all believe in or follow the religion Allah (Correction: Gabriel the Archangel gave the verses) gave to the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h.). Some Jinn make pacts with man, some help man but it is always expressed that majority of Jinn despise man. (If I memory serves me correct, I have my Quran in storage with some other books and can't get to it right now.
But yes, just like that.
and I mean comparable in the sense of being inhabited I suppose?
Yes, in the book I suggested (if that is the correct one) Don Juan takes Carlos to an alternate/parallel Earth/World but it wasn't in the physical. but Don Juan then explains that there really is no "real" that everything you experience is "real". some mind trippy shyt but dope once you can make heads from tails.
Lol I have a carlos castaneda book, my uncle gave it to me, it's called the Tales of Power (I believe). what do you think of it?
I don't think I've read the "Tales of Power" yet.
