What I don't get is why you would want to talk about serious racial issues in the same room where dudes are talking about their cocks, eating ass, and posting videos of streetfights? not even this thread is that serious. if it was it would be in event staff and the TS knows that.

I'm talking about threads like police beating up blacks, or famous people getting caught being racist. You say its not serious, but those threads do spark real discussion. Because these things are national news. Where you get your baby's hair done is not. Those threads spark outrage or gossip. They are popular and really are ephemeral once the hot topic has come and gone. "best/worst things about dating a white person" and such could be a valuable resource for some folks, free of bad trolling. and there are many awesome topics that can be discussed. And who's to say that a decent topic in TRT won't be moved to TLR or lead to some forum wide announcement? Why are nikkas so stubborn about posting in the correct forum?

And lets be honest, people are aggy about threads getting bounced to TRT because it has less visibility. Should there be more consistency with the moderation? Sure but the mods here aren't perfect and we shouldnt expect them to be, at least for free. But at the end of the day, if I want to make a thread about cars I can't just post it in the Coliseum for more views and then get mad when it gets bounced to The Showroom. But thats kinda what the complaints about TRT threads not staying in TLR are.
