it's like some people are preparing for armageddon
they got 2 years of food, thousands of rounds of ammo, surgical instruments, etc.
that seems like overkill

what do you guys have stashed away??
i'm thinking-

• $2000 in cash
• gun with a box of bullets
• new prepaid phone with some refill cards
• laptop
• change of clothes/disguise
• comfortable footwear
• medications
• $30 first aid kid

what do you think should be in an emergency stash kit??
don't start talking about 2000 gallons of water
i mean for real situations

OP this is a good topic tho. I wouldn't go as far as needing to be ready for Armageddon but folks should invest in a couple of bags (book bag/duffle/etc.) and keep stuff stocked in there so you can grab and go if necessary. Better be safe than sorry

For 2012 I was doing the whole prepper thing and preparing for the zombie apocalypse.
I got a bugout bag with medical/first aid, water purification tablets, food, water, small Cold Steel mini machete, flashlights, fire starter, poncho

I keep an emergency kit on deck. Out here in Cali, a big ass quake could happen and could really fukk shyt up. I have a couple of plastic bins with:

Flashlights
Batteries
Canned food
Swizz army knife
1st aid kit
Lighters
Jugs of Water
I have a generator on deck too

Also I try to always keep charcoal and lighter fluid avalaible. You never know when the power and gas goes out and you need to cook

Booze is actually good to have. You can barter with it and it has antiseptic properties. I have precious metals because I think money would be worthless in a SHTF event plus everyone will be pillagers
