Dwill should get no more passes. He couldn't cooperate in Utah , he quit while they were in New Jersey:beli: and gets a pass cause he had a bad team . Melo was hurt all last year And got roasted now its dwill time

i'm not gon debate about the utah stuff because there are conflicting stories about that but the nets last year was killed by injuries. they had no shot. the same way carmelo was injured for the knicks and had a lame duck coach who wanted him gone for an unproven 2nd year player, there really was no chance. no shot. any logical fan can see carmelo was not the issue in new york, and he even tried to adjust his game to fit with d'antoni (when he had no reason to, the coach shoulda adjusted to him and his team's makeup)

you should see first hand how a good (not great) coach can make a difference in a close game and a team overall with the knicks- mike woodson is doing a hell of a job for them- and i'm not a big fan of him. he deserves coach of year considerations.

but if you wanna roast dwill go ahead- he's not the full blame, neither was carmelo. the media always picks its targets year to year to attack.

I've always respected D Will's game, but as a PG, he's not in the same class as CP3.
:whew: guess we can finally put an end to those ridiculous cp3 arguements. Even though I've quit entertaining them for years:ld:
nikkas tried to argue this dude is better than chris paul? :pachaha:
People used to say this dude was better than CP3 :heh:
:stopitslime:

Stop it with the revisionist history. All those arguments have been warranted over their careers.

The LI
Shooting Terribly And He's Def Not In The Best Condition He Can Be In, He's Looking Fatter Then He Was In His College Days

Its Crazy Despite Him Shooting Like shyt And The Nets Losing 5 Straight The NY Media Chose To Not Lay Into Him, Yet Melo Is Picked Apart Like Food For These Vultures

No Hate On D Will Cuz Even Shooting Like shyt He Manages to Make His Stateline Look Good But The Double Standard Is Ridiculous

They Wanted To Be A NY Team So Bad, Treat Them Like One

You know why Melo was treated differently, the Knicks are the #1 team around here and get the most coverage. I never agreed with the shyt Melo got either, but you know the Nets are not gonna get covered in the Media around here like that, especially with you guys on fire right now. Of course we want to be a NY team, but the media and fans are skewed towards the Knicks so that's where the attention and coverage will go.

Deron is saying all the right things, that he is playing bad and needs to play better. He is not using the injuries as an excuse but you can tell they affect him. But bottom line he needs to play better, he's the leader of this team and he needs to step up.

Wherever we go or don't go over these next few years, he is the one who will take the credit/blame. Whether or not the media decides to cover it is another story.

:beli: That's why I alluded to the last few years. It was a legit argument a few years ago. But in retrospect it was a ridiculous argument. While deron has struggled with a new team,cp3 has thrived in a new system with an inferior coach.

Fighting through injuries and too many ISO plays, even though he's scoring pretty well in those situations. Above all else he just isn't hitting his shots. His passing and court vision are still elite which makes up for it, but I'm a little concerned.

Gotta laugh at the notion of him being some sort of empty stats guy...ridiculous

I know I did, and I don't give a fukk.

Y'all nikkas act like D-Will has been straight trash. :childplease:

Where was all this "empty stats" or "system player" talk when CP3 was in New Orleans? And I still think D-Will would give y'all favorite point guard the business. He's not playing like a top 3 pg this year, but c'mon.

Love Payton, but I always thought he was a bit overrated.

He had one of the best "primes" though.from 1998-2003, he did his thing, but the Sonics were garbage. His numbers started to go up when they hired Paul Westphal in '98 and he incorporated his run & gun styled offense.Payton really blossomed under Westphal IMO.If Westphal had been there his whole career, his numbers would've been a lot better....career wise, at least.Westphal convinced him to be more aggressive on offense and look for his shot more.

As it is, his career averages are 16 points and 6.7apg for his career. To put that in perspective, Iverson averaged 6.2apg.

It isn't ridiculous in retrospect, fukk is you talking bout? The head to head situations have already been posted.

Those Paul vs D-Will comparisons are about as levelled of an argument you'll get (between guards), over the past decade.

When Darren Collison was puttin in work while CP3 was out everyone on here called CP3 a system player.

fukk all that shyt. In my original post I was talking present, not past. I said we can now end comparisons. Deron had a hell of a run but he's on downside of his career and the nets is overpaying him. Not being in Sloan's system may have a lil to do with it:jawalrus:
