Every Thursday game has been terrible. It won't be getting better.

Plus what about the players' safety?

NFL NETWORK isn't a regular channel like espn, abc, nbc, cbs etc.. Majority of people aren't going to have that channel which explains ratings being down, also you have college football on thursday and network television shows on at the same time as well.

Having doubleheaders is stupid, as west coast 10:30 games will go off at 3AM EST time and have shyt ratings.

lmao.they.wouldnt.schedule.10:30.PST.games.they.aint.that.stupid.

the.second.game.would.be.7:30.PST.at.the.latest

The Friday-Saturday restriction was the direct result of lobbying from the NCAA. A House committee noted in its report on the SBA, “[NCAA representatives] are convinced that uncontrolled televising of professional football games could be ruinous to what is known as in-person attendance at college games. It is their position that professional football should not be granted exemption from the antitrust laws for package television contracts at the expense of intercollegiate football.”

its why there are no saturday games till the nfl playoffs begin

Wow, that is the the most amazing anti-competition, anti-trust law I know of in sports. How could Congress justify passing it? If the NCAA can't compete, it can't compete. Congress should have no say in what and when football games are televised. The NCAA's survival is not a matter of public interest. The law should be repealed.

Oakland
Raiders & Chargers just a few weeks ago.
Started at 8:30 PST and it wasnt scheduled for that timeslot, circumstance pushed it to that point..this new shyt would pretty much graurantee a 3pm PST start for the early game or a 10pm EST start for the late game, dumb either way

But No sport is currently falling from grace from a ON FIELD product standpoint then football though it was perfect and being fukked with

Rule changes to make it arena football and leave no traces of defense left in the sport, gonna add more playoff teams to hurt its regular season, constant comercials to fukk the flow up etc

Say what you want about Selig hes awful but he hasnt hurt the game on the field, hes added a wild card but it stil has the least amount of teams that make the playoffs out of any sport so he hasnt killed the regular season or playoffs, talent is at an all time high and you still have tons of ptichers duels that the hardcore fans love, the product hasnt been fukked with on the field like the nfl

This is the "chicks dig the long ball" era of football. This is the "eliminate the handchecking rule for more scoring" era of football.
MLB caught the cheaters and now the pitchers have taken over the game again and you know what some have said? "Baseball is dying"

America's obsessed with points, and when you give the green light to increase it, they won't go back. The NFL would rather have fans be like "woohoo more points" instead "wh-what just happened? They didn't score?"

Baseball is more lucrative then other clowns on here say that becasue they dont like the sport. The NFL was still a huge sport a decade ago when you stil could play a ltitle defense adding offense ddint resurrect it

I like it the idea. They already have too many games on Sunday playing concurrently. Even if you drop $300+ on Sunday Ticket, you're getting hosed b/c you can't watch all the games at the same time and they don't replay them thru the week.

In all honesty, I'd add a game to Friday night instead.

parts of it has been repealed for the thursday night games where it goes against college football.

just like how the nba doesnt schedule any games on the ncaa championship game
