I tell them no shyt and that I've known it was "fake" for decades (I'm 33). If they still get in their feelings I'll tell them it's more real than "Love and Hip Hop", "Real Housewives of Atlanta", etc. For the most part though the only people who give me the look when they find out I watch wrestling are other men. Most women either don't care or tell me they watched it as a kid/teenager.

For example years ago when I was at work and I was watching a match on youtube (this was before the network) a coworker walked by and asked me what I was watching. I expected her to try to clown a brother when I told her it was wrestling. She was like I used to love wrestling and used to watch Raw and Smackdown and WCW with her brothers. I asked her who her favorite wrestler was and I expected her to say The Rock or Stone Cold but she said it was Chris Jericho and Bret Hart.

Personally wrestling is like a live action play to me. I don't care about "fake ass good ring work."

Make me laugh, make me cry, bring some bytches out, car crash match, some legends, good technical match on the undercard, spectacle for the main even and I'm eating.

If that's what u got from me saying Wresting is some corny white boy shyt and black nikkas got bigger problems than fukking fake fighting.

It's crazy that people say his gimmick won't work. Imo he has one of the best gimmicks in wrestling.

I brought my shorty to Takeover Brooklyn and one thing she said to me was that NXT characters actually seem like your going to watch Wrestling like back in the day.

I think we need more CHARACTERS in wrestling, not just regular guys coming down and fighting.

Dudes like him, the Vaudevillins, Balor, are what wrestling needs. It's fukking fake, u can't make fake shyt reality based. It's supposed to be colorful over the top and fun. Give him some dope vignettes, have him take selfies over his opponents bodies, let him cut funny promo's and call steph a Uggo. Let people buy into the character.

Everyone complains how this era is just normal guys, and they're right. Why would he change his character to the same shyt that GETS NOBODY OVER NOW.

They both worked the same match over and over for decades. They both good to me. Just depends on who you identify with more as a character. I can't say whose better or worse cause the shyt is fake. It's all in whatever stage is set up.
