I have always wondered what to do in this situation. Here are the responses I've been given as suggestions in this kind of situation:
- Tell him that you're here now and he's in the past for a reason.
- Say, "That's funny, I don't think she noticed."
- Say, "Yeah, we have a good laugh when she talks about it."
- Play it off like it's absolutely no big deal whatsoever and look at him like an idiot for pointing it out.
- Sock him in the face immediately before he can mentally prepare himself.
