The amount of corporate parks on long island that pay a decent wage .. so many companies out there. But shyt is far.

When I went to some part in Suffolk County that shyt looked like a sun down town.
They're not hiring black folks that live on LI. Soon as they see your address on the resume, it's a wrap. And if you do get in the door, you have to decide how much microagression you can take. Believe me I've done all that. There are some tyoe of people who can tolerate that, but that is not me.

There are places there I'm not trying to be bothered in the day time either. And with all this MAGA stuff, these yt folks got supercharged batteries in their back 24/7.

My old company, they only hired white boys from long Island. When I got transferred to the main office on long island I was shocked to see how not 1 supervisor or manager was black for the whole nyc metro area.

So I can only imagine how many other long Island based companies been doing this.

The whole Maga shyt is real on the island. Those fukking Italians are mad racist. I'll be honest, I feel like long Island has a real race problem. If you not getting hated on by white folks and Italians, you getting hated on by racist ass fukking central americans.

That's a whole 'nother story. They're the diversity of choice right now, especially in suffolk. I'll leave it at that.

There's this white youtuber I'm subscribed to whose housing agency (hes on SSI) got him an apartment in Mineola yet this fakkit tries to push this narrative that Mineola is going down hill and wants an apartment on the south shore :mjlol:

CAC punching way above his weight class living in Mineola yet has the nerve to complain:gucci:

Also, hes a racist that calls Black Men "Swagger Walkers" and claims that the government is dumping Black Men in the middle of the island towns :mjpls:

You may ask why am I subscribed to a racist cac even though I'm Black? Well I like to laugh at his delusions and stupidity:mjlol:

Even other white ppl be shutting on him :heh:

i hate LI with every fiber of my being
really played myself with my comment from 2019 but now I live in Long Island. Growing up in the city and only going to long island like a couple times in my life, and seeing how different it is compared to the city, it was just something I hated. The pandemic changed all that I needed a bigger space so here I am. The house that you get is a lot better than what you pay for in the boroughs, not to mention the school districts. It's not bad, a lot of driving. Good thing is that there's parking everywhere so if you love driving, it's way better than the boroughs. If you live near a train station, the commute is pretty good to penn station, just a lot more expensive. I don't miss living in an apartment with little space and shyt neighbors. It's nice having your own space and backyard. The food definitely isn't as good but I would say it's 80% there compared to the city depending on what you want to eat. It's also nice going out for walks and you're the only one walking most of the time.

i lived right next to the LIRR,. So i second the ease of access for me to get into the boroughs without dealing with the horrible traffic. what part of long island you moved to?

Brooklyn
My cousins grew up on Commack, they're dark skin Puerto Ricans mixed with Trinidadian (their Dad). I used to visit them in the 80s and 90s and it was weird being the ONLY people of color.

My three cousins were crazy and aggressive growing up, which confused me because my aunt moved there to keep them away from the pitfalls of the 5 boroughs, but they ended up more phuked up in Suffolk County than I did growing up in Brooklyn. I'm way more mentally stable than them and I think it has to do with them being the only dark skins growing up in Commack.

More brehs should move to Long Island and NYC in general

NYC has a large black population let’s make it even bigger

Y’all southern and Midwest brehs come up here and buy a crib in Brooklyn or Queens

And find you a beautiful black woman out here, they’re in abundance

She could be FBA , Caribbean , Afro Latina or from the mother land east or west African
