A lake near Tampa FL
Its my least favorite suburb in the NY Tri State area...

Long Beach is cool though :ahh: Only part of LI I like, I want to visit Roosevelt field mall one of these days but I don't have a car and its a hassle to get to by public transportation.

unless you're moving behind Sacred heart academy...

Other parts away from the village are not as bad. But as LI-er from a "bad neighborhood" I wouldnt move there. Not for those prices.

Hempstead? Terrace and Bedell is where you wanna live :troll:

Seriously tho, why Hempstead? Are you renting or buying? You'd be better off in Freeport, Baldwin, elmont, westbury or valley stream.
Hempstead due to certain constraints. I stayed there for a week to transition for my new job and like y'all said.. The shyt is the hood and way too many central americans for my liking.

I found a place in carle place to rent and itis close to all the shopping centers and restaurants, few minute walk to LIRR. I lucked up finding this spot last minute.

Im happy im not in hempstead,

QUEENS NY
Im white and I dont like LI. My parents moved out there when I was younger, as soon as I could I moved back to Queens. That said, I did live in Long Beach for a year and a half and absolutely loved it. Only place on Long Island I would live. In the summer it's was like being on vacation every weekend. One other thing I'll give to LI compared to the city is, it is nice being able to park in front of your own house instead of searching for parking, that's about it though

Hempstead, Westbury, Wyandanch, & even parts Freeport all are similar lol
wyandanch, the dance i have no words for. shyt is the hood.
Long Island showed me alot, you can be in a multi million area and then a few minute drive you in poverty.

There are some dope ass neighborhoods out there though. Fly ass mansions and shyt.
The funny part is, since moving to Atlanta. I see WAY more luxury cars out here than I seen in Long Island.

Don't get me wrong i can be on the highway in LI and all of sudden i see a caravan of lambos just taking control of the road.

Long Island really has that small town feel to it. I liked it but then I couldn't find my self living out there further.

Definitely. Not worse than Hempstead but I feel u. Hempstead the most urban suburb in the country.

I try my best to defend LI, especially my hometown, but it's exhausting. If you go beyond the main road, people actually have nice homes.

There's a lot of nuances in the dynamics that are making these places bad, mostly racism. Combined with the loss of good jobs available on the island for black folks, a loss of a sense of community, etc its looking downhill. I've finally come to terms with it.

The amount of corporate parks on long island that pay a decent wage .. so many companies out there. But shyt is far.

When I went to some part in Suffolk County that shyt looked like a sun down town.
