What do you think about Long Island, New York?

I don't like it.

It reminds me too much of the place I tried to get away from when I moved to NYC.

Looking back at this thread can’t believe I’ve been in my house almost 5 years already can’t believe I finally pulled trigger on selling it can’t believe I didn’t find the next one yet

I'm curious as to how those of you who are familiar with it feel about it, it seems like a pretty cool place. It seems like there's a good amount of middle class black folk living there and there are parts of it I would consider living there.

Long Island only got developed for cacs desperate to flee blacks moving into BKLYN/QUEENS and it feels like it.

Outside of the black burbs and hoods I wouldn’t be caught dead. There’s some cool black burbs though

LI is cool if you're trying to raise a family. I wanna move to the city for a few years before I settle down though

It's expensive AF. There's some grade A pawg meat out here though. Lots of cute Caribbean women too
