that nikka ended up being a bum. Smitty had to jump in his ass, he wanted the fame but didn't wanna put in the work. Drunk ass bum ass nikka. nikka couldn't even name it in the CFL.

seattle is still winning games with their D first and foremost. they just have great talent evaluator, and if pete was part of that than he deserves big praise. tons of guys they picked up that were flags or havent thought of highly- sherman, browner, baldwin, lynch, etc along with drafting mebane, thomas...it all stacked up. their back 16 makes 13m as a GROUP.
its silly to think that seattle wouldnt be shyt without russell right now. seattle was already a decent team in 2011 and in 2012 they started cooking on D. the team, just like Niners, is built from the ground up. they can win games even if the qb goes down.

Pete threw Flynn in the bushes quicktime. Most coaches would STILL let Flynn start ahead of Russ to protect their prize FA signing. Pete got enough balls and swag to admit his mistakes and fix them.
In terms of talent evaluation... Pete got Jim beat IMO.

Also, Beli has rings as a coordinator, Pete does not.
Pete's greatest moments were from cheating at the college level, so maybe him and Beli aint too dissimilar after all
I disagree. Harbs is a hell of a coach but it's not like SF had bums when he got there. That team was full of 1st and 2nd round talent. He righted the ship moreso than turn water to wine. That D was stout before Harbaugh got there. We also caught all the breaks last year and are not catching them this year.

not sure who gets the credit for it, but whoever took Irvin and developed him so fukking quickly from a one dimensional pass rush DE and turned him into a LB that can also drop back into pass coverage at a high level did a remarkable job. thats top tier coaching

Coli is so prisoner of the moment, the fact Seattle just won a big game on MNF and all of a sudden dudes calling Carrol a top 5 HC.
He has accomplished nothing substantial in this league, his team is having a great season but damn ya gotta have a ring before you kiss it
