Bobby Ross went from college to pros and took Chargers to Super Bowl. Raymond Berry had a quick turnaround and success with Patriots and brought them to the Super Bowl in 1986. Jim Fassel brought the Giants to the Super Bowl. Is Harbaugh better than them?

its a bit different because beli was already one of the GOAT defensive coordinators before the whole pats dynasty began

but yeah I cant get with that

seattle is still winning games with their D first and foremost. they just have great talent evaluator, and if pete was part of that than he deserves big praise. tons of guys they picked up that were flags or havent thought of highly- sherman, browner, baldwin, lynch, etc along with drafting mebane, thomas...it all stacked up. their back 16 makes 13m as a GROUP.

its silly to think that seattle wouldnt be shyt without russell right now. seattle was already a decent team in 2011 and in 2012 they started cooking on D. the team, just like Niners, is built from the ground up. they can win games even if the qb goes down.

The Yay
hes the main reason why the Niners have only 5 Superbowls and not 7

people will always give parcells the coaching credit to those 2 Giants SB wins, but both times Giants had #1/#2 defense in both pts and yards

Belichick coached 5 seasons with the Browns and had one winning record. Did that mean he was a bad coach? Look how that turned out.

Here's the difference, you're running on assumptions that Pete will ascend to greatness, i`m running on the facts.

Right now he has a lot to prove in the pros before he can be considered the best or even top 5. To say that is just typical prisoner of the moment shyt, his team won 34-7 on MNF, dudes don't really know a lot about sports on here, so they hop on whatever just happened and treat that like it's gospel.

Like I said, 3-4 playoff record. He`ll be judged off that

No, you goofs are trying to say a guy should be judged for his entire career in football.

You did that.

So if we go about judging pros by their college accomplishments then guys like Tim Tebow, Ryan Leaf and David Carr could be considered great players.

Because that is what you're doing when you bring up Pete's USC accomplishments to call him a great coach.

Let me as you, are you a Seattle "fan". One of the many who just learned about the Coli as of last year.

Except that Pete has been a great college coach and a pretty good coach in the NFL :mindblown:

No Pete hasn't been pretty good. He was fired from 2 different jobs in the 90's and bolted to College because he wasn't cutting it in the pros, he has been good with Seattle, this much is true.

Yet and still he cost Seattle a trip to the Championship game last year by trying to ice the kicker in Atlanta.

Im not running on any assumptions..in fact...im saying that you cant assume based on previous coaching stints.

How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
People want to talk shyt on Belli, but Pete over there still thinking he at USC and letting players do whatever they want. He has always been a considered a "players coach" but this dude is a just a bytch that lets himself get bullyed by his players. Players love that for a couple seasons, while they winning, but then they start declining in production or thier health starts deteriorating, and then it is "We never had a strong leader in the locker room"
