Teams started throwing to him and he got exposed.

That and he's slow as hell.
you see...i'm happy this thread was upped because before ...on like Monday i was on his wiki page.

I came across a quote from Larry Fitz among another that said the exact opposite: "“The thing you see on tape for a man of his size, he has incredible hips and amazingly quick feet, and that’s just God given ability to be that tall and be able to move and cut and drive on balls the way he’s able to.”

I really wanna know what the fukk happened to this dude. He had us Eagle fans gassed

:upsetfavre:At age 20 I could party all night get 3 hours of sleep, put in a full day at work and then run it back. At age 27 I cant even go 24 hours without passing out and I am useless at work without at least 5 hours of sleep and there is NO late night drinking for me anymore. Its called age. It happens and it will happen to you my dude.

We understand aging, the thing is that most corners who are real good last at least a few more years than he did. Hell, Darrell Green played until he was 43 and never really fell off. No knowledge of any serious injuries or anything, it's kind of puzzling when players who should still be in their prime have fallen off already. I personally wonder if he didnt take care of himself or if he got lazy.

Well I think the key difference is, is that Nnamdi relied on his superior speed, quickness and athleticism to apply blanketing man coverage on his assigned WR. When this special athleticism started to go (relative to the pools of WRs he has to cover, not necessarily in general) his zone coverage skills weren't up to par and he is being exposed. For a truly skilled Corner who stays healthy a long career in the NFL is certainly possible but for Man guys like Revis and Nnamdi, when they lose their quickness and speed they fall off really fast. I think there is also something to his getting married and moving around that may have added to his decline.

Well let's see...we are talking about a big physical corner who liked to play bump and run man to man, playing in a league that has morphed into you not being able to touch the receiver at all...

Plus, his tackling was suspect...he did get exposed for that in Philly...so it was a combination of the rules changes and offenses looking at him and saying "ok we throw at him and it will most likely be a flagged thrown, if not and our guy catches it, howdoyousaymynamdhi won't be able to tackle him"

and just think when Jerry passed on him and the eagles got him I was so pissed...:pachaha:

He had the be overrated from the jump. Maybe those raiders team had a good pass rush or scheme or something, but that's the only thing I can think of, of how a supposedly top 5 corner fell off that bad without an injury. Had to be overrated.

Those Raiders teams sucked everywhere :heh:

Nnamdi had a couple good yrs where he had some ints. He basically became a "Shutdown Corner" off reputation from a couple good yrs. It was so easy to throw to the other side, throw to the middle, run the ball that teams just decided they didnt even have to throw to his side. Another thing is, he only played on 1 side of the field. He never followed the best wr like Revis and Prime did. That alone makes him 1 of the most overrated players ever.

I made a thread on :hamster: saying all of this when he was on the Raiders, and got bashed. :beli:

He was never even on Cromartie's level. Leon Hall is a better CB than Nnamdi ever was. Joseph too.
