He had the be overrated from the jump. Maybe those raiders team had a good pass rush or scheme or something, but that's the only thing I can think of, of how a supposedly top 5 corner fell off that bad without an injury. Had to be overrated.
But he was horrible as an Eagle, breh. So I dont think the san fran physical scheme applies here. This dude just fell off somewhere. The Niners are a physical team, and if you play with them (especially defense), you're expected to perform at a level that is on par with the rest of your squad.
Nnamdi tried to play physical, and got hurt.
He's more of a finesse player, except that he's lost the tangible qualities that make him that sort of player.
he relied on speed more than everyone thought he did. once that speed/quickness disappeared and he started mistackling people ...He had the be overrated from the jump. Maybe those raiders team had a good pass rush or scheme or something, but that's the only thing I can think of, of how a supposedly top 5 corner fell off that bad without an injury. True, true.honestly I wouldnt have minded keeping him for insurance purposes. I dont have that much trust in brock or wright. we're an injury away from serious problems at this point imo.
That zone defense wasn't his thang. He doesn't have good ball-hawking instincts if you ask me - he's more of a pure cover dude with long-all limbs. But he was horrible as an Eagle, breh. So I dont think the san fran physical scheme applies here. This dude just fell off somewhere.
But they were not throwing the ball his way that last year in Oak. Dude gave up less than 20 recptions that last year in Oakhe spent most of his career with the raiders.. all they did was lose. a lot of shyt with him was perception as well. His BEST year statistically the raiders went 2-14. He only has 15 career INT's and they can say whatever they want about teams not throwing to him.. that's bullshyt. Those Raiders teams sucked.
a 6 foot 2 cb who lost a step, it doesnt take much
theres a reason there arnt many cbs that tall
He should be a safety by now.
nikka was buming it up way before her.kerry washington
Less than 2½ years ago, Nnamdi Asomugha was one of the NFL's most sought-after free agents. Now, he says he's done with football.
Asomugha's longtime team, the Oakland Raiders, announced Thursday night the veteran cornerback will announce his retirement Friday afternoon at a press conference at team headquarters.
The 11-year veteran had been out of work since the San Francisco 49ers cut him Nov. 5. Asomugha, 32, appeared in only three games (one start) for the 49ers after signing a one-year, $1.35 million contract that included another $1.65 million in incentives.
From top 5 to not mentioned at all but
