^MULTIPLE acclaimed A.I researchers say its inevitable..some say within the next 20 years, some say within 100

the subject has been talked about alot, but what do you think? a world where as we are to ants, as A.I computers are to humans..intelligence-wise

It would probably be the end of humanity. We already have AI that is much smarter than us though, just in a limited field. For instance, a calculator is a primitive AI that is much smarter than humans in calculating, Google is another that is much smarter in what it does. What you are referring to I think is an artificial superintelligence. An AI that is smarter than any human in any endeavor. An AI like that would be able to do anything it wanted and would probably destroy all of mankind either directly or indirectly. Or it might just self-destruct. Scientists agree that it is will happen, but like you said, they can't agree on the date.

I never thought about the ability to self-destruct. that is interesting. some believe, the super A.I would act as a "god" figure and help mankind
