Ball still may be need to be traded just to give him a fresh start but the core is decent. Miller and Kon are keepers. They just need to tinker and add pieces to compliment them. If they could hit on another future young star in the draft that would be even better.

They might finally get to the playoffs or at least the play in again. This is Lamelo's last hope on this team.

This season is house money regardless, they're not just above .500 with their starting 5 together, it's one of the best offenses in the league and they're blowing teams out.

Next season is the real test, specifically for Melo. If he misses x amount of games again or it just doesn't mesh there's enough of a foundation in place with Kon/Miller that they can pivot with no regret.
