its ehhh, he was face one week then he started doing heel commentary the other, it just happened, no story or anything
Haven't watched sd in years and I am caught the second hour tonight. Mauro was a great hire. Sounds so much more legit. Heel Lawler is a good look. Makes me remember how they almost stole Mike Goldberg from ufc like 10 years ago.

deadass JBL is a commentary GOD! lol i enjoy him callin matches cuz he cracks me up.
Cole always was annoying to me n still is but ive grown used 2 him.
i like byron saxton but not on raw, i barely liked him on SD.
jerry lawler sucks n comes off as a corny bully doin heel commentary now cuz he cant talk about puppies.

The Smackdown team works better with no guest commentary, when there is a guest and they aren't aggressive talker the interaction is just awkward.
Mauro is pretty good, but at times he can be a little overbearing at times.
King is better as a heel color guy but is very mediocre at best.
Saxton has his moments but his presence ultimately feels kinda pointless.
The Raw team works better with guest commentary, they're very passive so it lets the guests get their lines and points in.
Cole is the best of the 3, Saxton is 2nd best and Jbl is last.

Lawler's best work was before the whole puppies thing. In fact that shyt got very tiresome after a while.
He was at his best 95-97. ESPECIALLY when shytting all over the Hart family
He was also sonning Vince weekly on Raw. I was convinced for years Vince was actually rocking a hairpiece due Lawler's constant references

The best part about recent Lawler were his abysmal shirts that made me crack up every time I saw them. Haven't seen him work heel on SD yet but can def say ranullo was a top notch hire
