Awkward as hell. Jack Lemmon was even like

The movie Bamboozled came out in 2000...they did a whole scene mocking what Ving Rhames did.
Damon Wayons was on stage giving his sppech, looked at the whiteman next to him and was like "I want you to have it" just because he was standing there.
I remmy that scene. Didn't know it was mocking of this.

see all the players and straight up legends in that room.. this ain't current golden globes.. there's straight up bosses and A listers in there.. had them in tears
and to this day, ain't shyt been said about ving.. that man getting indy money, mid level money and franchise money.. no scandals, no gaps in work, smooth sailing
that shyt appreciated his value like no other
