Reganomics for sure. Because that came with divestment in the middle class and emphasized the CEO class.

Drugs weren't as bad as people think. Theres always be heroiand alcohlocs. Crack hit hard, but ironicly crack bought a lot of family out of severe poverty. My family was one of them. Wasn't no money in the Black Community until crack hit. This is my perspective. We was picking pecans for like 5$ a day in Louisiana in the 1980s. People was still getting picked up to go hoe cotton. I collecting cans and all types of shyt. Even with crack, a lot of families were still holding together.

It was Feminism and Rap music, mass incarceration too. Even 10 years after the crack epidemic, men still controlled the hoods and a man with a good job was respected.

Gangsta rap made the working man seem lame. So women wanted thugs even more and boys wanted to thug and slang more.

Feminism told women u dont need a man.

Democratic Mass incarceration took the wise OGs and a lot 20s + street dudes with some sense out of the street. Growing up in wild Louisiana in the 90s, the OGs held control. We couldn't be shooting guns for fun, robbing old women. We'd even quiet down with elders passed thru. No the unwise youth control the streets. Got 10 idiots driving to the downtown Chi Town to killed FBG duck in broad day light. No wisdom around now.

No the Black family and communities are in chaos because they are no men with wisdom maintain order.

Crack easily. I was young but it seemed like my neighborhood changed in a matter of weeks. Working families ruined overnight. Some of my friends just straight up disappeared.

My people have suffered so much, so long we are pitiful in our misery.

We boost our spirits by changing our minds rather than our condition.

Blacks are still rather cheap to purchase,
Unemployment insurance, a grant for a program, programmed to fail. Enough seed money to ensure bankruptcy.

My people, like magnificent race horses, have blinders.

There is always talk of the Mighty Past, but no plans for a decent future.
