He's only 10 that's why I need something very easy and also cheap. I guess I can pick up a used laptop and a cheap 49 key keyboard. Do y'all think 10 is too young to start learning?
never too young to start breh...in fact the younger the better...at this age your child's brain is like a sponge that's fiendin' for some knowledge

my lil 11 yr old cousin always bothered me when i was in my studio. one day she showed me a song she wrote. it was really good. still won’t let her in the studio.

made her find a program on her lil shytty school chrome laptop. taught her how to make beats from the snare to the melody.

she makes some cool shyt. still won’t let her in the studio. i think it’s important to let her always be a kid when it comes to music.

i don’t want her thinking she needs certain things to do what the ppl on tv do. she just needs her mind and some determination. once she has that, she’ll do everything herself without asking me, unless she on some 11 yr old shyt n really wanna cop somn. i won’t do shyt for her unless she ask. i jus want her to form her own opinions about music using the bare minimum. she and i talk about music way more than we make it.

i think she has potential to be great :wow:

Just a laptop? Just a mpc machine? A lap top and a mpc machine? My kid wants to make beats and I'm trying to research what to buy him:mindblown:
Don't spend a penny. Just find a crack for FLStudio.

If he/she sticks with it for a year, then look to buy.

:comeon:I hope those grade are looking good. We got enough rappers out here.

Garageband is a good starting place as well....

If you buy him FL, he will have free updates for life, imo its the best place to start learning. Very User friendly.
