What's the point of living if you can't be happy? I'm not motivated by wealth, status, or fame. I'm heading down a career path where I have a chance to make good, decent money some day, but I only value this career because it's going to help me maintain a lifestyle that makes me HAPPY. I guess hedonism. But at the end of the day, you only have one life to live (presumably), you're going to be on this planet for around 80 years IF YOU'RE LUCKY. What use are all the other good qualities if you're not happy? Again, do what makes you happy, if what you're doing transgresses over someone else's right then society WILL make you pay for it. I'm a hedonist, and unashamedly so

Yeah, there is..... Especially when you combine it with freedom of action. Just because you do something that makes you happy doesn't mean it's always good for you.... When you lack order, the combination of freedom and happiness can be detrimental.... You'll eventually come down from that happiness to depression and despair.
