HL seems to be reflective of the national political climate at the moment. I'm not sure there's much mods can do to change that other than getting rid of intentional misinformation and bigotry. It's often subjective, though...so it is what it is

Please dont use this thread to discuss other topics (trump, cnn/bribart, homo/non homo). I have limited time and i just want to see what people think are the issues in HL and what they'd like to see done about them. theres plenty of other threads to go back and forth with each other on the usual beefs.

well that is the issue (trump,cnn/breaibart)

there are a bunch of posters upset because there are a lot of posters that are pro trump or promote non left leaning ideas, a lot of posters think HL should be a safe space to promote left leaning ideas and they want to restrict freedom of speech in HL, imo their complaints are corny

there isnt really anything else going on in HL

the only kinda sorta legit complaint is napoleon posting tweets, which i dont have a problem with but some people's computer seems to slow down if there are too many tweets in the page

The old posters left well before this election cycle. The intellectual dishonesty is legit but lets stop acting like its coming from only one side. You are a really good poster but it was hard seeing that this year. You posted one liners or smilies and didn't articulate any points. If you disagreed with something you just say wow you're dumb instead of offering a rebuttal. Its hard to build a legit discussion when people are spamming threads with garbage. If you think someone is an actual WS, report their posts and don't engage them. They'll disappear without an audience. If you think supporting Trump or any of his policies automatically makes you a racist, you need to take a look in the mirror and see how dishonest that position is. If someone is blatantly being a racist or troll, get them outta here. If they are offering a differing opinion that might offend you, learn to combat that with good responses that may open that persons mind to the fallacy in their thinking.
