Lol, look how much shyt the Spurs catch just for not repeating back to back (including this season). Lol I should specify, catching shyt on THECOLI. It's a perfect start for GSW to keep improving to get to multiple finals year after year. But it ain't easy, again, just look at the Spurs.

It's too early to anoint him top 3 or even 5, but end of the top 10 for point guards seems reasonable. He's had 3 high level seasons and in this scenario he'd be the clear best player on an all-time great title squad which is something only Magic and Isiah can say for point guards.

If he maintains elite play for another couple of years he could potentially go down as the best PG since Magic, but that depends on health and what CP3 and :youngsabo: do from here on out.

I say Top 3 PG of all time behind Isiah and Magic. He's put both the "Jumpshooters & point guards don't win Championships" myths to bed. And did it in style.

Craziest thing about this Golden State team is there's still a lot of room for improvement with them. Potential dynasty on the cards when you look at the ages of Steph, Klay, Barnes & Green.
How does he kill the myth if he's the only PG leading a team, as its best player, to a ring since Isaiah/Magic? That proves the rule by exception. It's so rare that it took 30 years to happen again. The rule isn't absolute, it just holds up most of the time. And Magic is an anomaly anyway.

And don't disrespect The Big O. He's the 2nd best PG of All Time.

Depends on what he does after this. This shyt is looking like some perfect storm shyt for Curry this year though and there's still a pretty good chance he doesn't win a title or an MVP. Golden State isn't winning in Cleveland tomorrow, and I wouldn't bet against Bron in the game seven. And even if they win that FMVP isn't looking like guarantee.

But say he does win both, this shyt seems very Celtics 08ish to me. I can't imagine this team repeating next year once everyone comes back healthy (Cavs will be loaded, as will the Thunder; Spurs could retool, etc). He's DEFINITELY not top three PG, even if we only go 1980 and beyond... He's not better than Kidd or Payton or Stockton just because he had one great season. Now obviously the thing is Curry should have another decade to add on to his shyt so you never know.

In fact I'm mad at myself for typing this shyt. Let's just enjoy his career while it's being played. Legacy talk needs to happen after the career is over. Comparing active players to guys already retired is pretty stupid. We don't know what direction Curry's future will take.
What makes you so sure?

Some would argue he wasnt een the best PG in the league this season so for that alone he still has a long way to go before we can really talk about his legacy

It would be huge. It isn't like curry is super young, he's gonna turn 28 middle of next season. Get as many rings/finals appearances while you can.

There was no rule in the first place, just some silly shyt dudes used against the PG position and its evolution.

Only magic, isiah, oscar and kidd are above him if he wins so top 5. Stockton and Payton had their chances. Kidd played a huge role in 2011 for mavs. Payton in 2006 not so much. Plus kidd led his team to two straight finals. Stockton was a sidekick

Ban worthy. He's not above his boy Mark Jackson either
