angela yee stops alot of good momentum. Whenever Charlamagne is going in, or the guest is getting a little open and comfortable she asks some dumb ass question about her homegirls seeing them eating at bar or some hoodrat fable she saw on twitter. She fukks up some potential good material

She is there to offset Charlamange and to keep the interviews light. Sure she says some random shyt at times but she is neccissary to balance the show. Sometimes she fukks up momentum but sometimes she pull the interview back together when Charlamange gets the interview to far out there or possibly makes the guest uncomfortable talking about smelling butts and eating ass.

The dymamic of the three of them just works. I hate the interviews when one of them is missing. They each add alot of value to the interviews.
You really believe Envy adds value to the interviews?? How so? Honest question.

To me, if anything at all, envy adds value in knowing how to work a morning show from a technical standpoint...in terms of how the show flows, when to break, weather and traffic, etc...minimal shyt IMO.

It's the dynamic of the three of them together that works. The Envy being lightskin, waffle colored negro shyt Charlamagne does, Angela Yee calling him sensitive, and the off-the cuff questions Envy asks the guests sometimes. Its entertaining. Envy also brings value with his history being a DJ, sometimes he has insider stories and certain things he's experienced in some relation to the guest. But if you watch an interview when one of them is missing it really isn't the same. I pretty much watch every interview they do no matter who it is. I can't say the same for the Hot97

@Rev for example the DJ Drama interview. Although Envy was acting like a bytch. Him explaining why he was mad at him was really insightful as to how this industry shyt works. How many other interviewers would have told this? Most others probably would have faked the funk and acted like nothing was wrong.

Envy is the DJ, he is absolutely neccissary. But on top of that he knows very well the shows strengths which is why he mostly sits back and let's it go, only chiming in every now and again. For this reason i think he is actually better than most radio DJs who try to be all up in the interview way too much. and it might seem like he isn't doing much and just counting the interview but he is always listening to everything being said and sometimes he even feeds Charlamange direction but its not overt though because they have good chemistry.

The show really works because all three have good chemistry and play different roles during the interview

She provides a comfort zone for the guest, as well as a female perspective... whatever that is worth.
Plus I have noticed that she moderates the dudes when they start going off track with the interviews, and she actually tries to talk about upcoming projects...

Without her, Charlemagne would be "too much" fcukery...

DJ Envy is the disposable one...Dude is just there...

they each serve a purpose. Yee is there to reign in charl. Envy is there for back up. It seems envy is in the streets (clubs) more than the other two combined

does she tho? Seems like Envy does that, whereas all Yee does is ambush people with personal questions and interrupt Charlamange's crazy stuff. It's amazing how many times she asks about some stupid personal shyt, which I have no idea how she knows, and the guest laughs it off and turns to Charlamange like "ask me a question so I don't have to deal with this shyt bruh."

Yee: So apparently you've been hanging with a certain red haired beauty, and you ate sushi with her downtown in LA a few months ago. So what's up?
Rapper: :what:
