Big Sean needs to either find a sound and run with it, or dig deep and give his persona some depth besides the tired narrative of "I'm a kid who always wanted to be famous." Right now he is in that Fab space, but even Fab had a better talent at crafting hit records, especially directed at women.

right now all big sean is good for is dope guest verses and hot singles for parties or the radio, i say this as a big sean fan, nobody is checking for an album full of big sean verses, so he really needs singles to generate buzz

The biggest problem with Sean is that he doesn't have a defining quality about him. He may be nice but it seems that he's just throwing records all over the place. Just what is he known for? What is his past story? Why is he in the game? What makes him stand out aside from his lyrics?
