Political entities love to focus and debate over hot button moral and ethical issues (i.e., identity politics). Libertarians and Anarchists love to talk about "property rights" and the "non aggression principal." We hear about "commodification" and "class consciousness" from Communists and Marxists.
But regardless of what political or philosophical ideology you subscribe to, what it really comes down to is freedom, and which social structure provides its citizens with the purest form of, and highest degree of freedom.
So to avoid being long winded, I'm just going to ask the simple question: What does freedom mean to you?
And please, be as specific as possible. Don't just say "freedom is to do as I please." I ask that you qualify that statement. In other words, what exactly is "do"?
I would imagine your answers will spark more debate on political/socioeconomic nuances and the basic framework of civilized society.
