40s are the GOAT 🏆

Making way more money

Own home and cars

Kids older and don’t need as much assistance with the day to day

All your friends have money and good jobs because you cut ties with the losers 20 years ago

Weekend trips leaving work early on Fridays to beat the traffic

No such thing as PTO, FOH with that bullshyt

Relatives asking you for money knowing you are going to put them through changes just to hold somethin’

Nice ass lawn furniture including a fire pit even though you live in Texas

Some cool things I've done since 30:

flying to NY to have dinner at 11 Madison Park, when it was in it's prime

Spending a week in Punta Mita, Nayarit at the W

Spending a weekend in Valle de Guadelupe, wine valley in Baja, Californa

Going to the Tate Modern in London

Eating at a two Michelin star spot in Notting Hill, London, Core, Clare Smyth's place

Taking a ferry from Nice, to Cannes, to San Tropez, the ocean, waves were crashing over the bow, was so rough on the way out of St. Tropez, we turned around, and got free tour of Southern France on a bus home

Eating at Moca Roo (actually called Roo Moca) in Barcelona, in the lobby of my hotel, Hotel Omm

Seeing the Louvre in Paris

Seeing Versailles in Paris

Staying at Malibu Beach Inn, going to Malibu Nobu when I turned 34

Going to Delilah in West Hollywood same night

Saw Jay do the 4:44 tour in Brooklyn at Barclay's

Waldorf Astoria in Los Cabos

shopping at Valentino on Madison, and eating at the upstairs spot at Bergdoff's after

eating at a soul food place on 192 in the Bronx

Eating Hatian food way Uptown near Rucker Park in Harlem on a park bench

Watched the sunrise in South Beach

Read a book while taking the train from Paris to Nice

17 course Omakase dinner in Miami the other week

Walking on the cliffs of Cornwall in England, in the rain and just wandering around

obviously, my tastes can lean sharply into luxury, travel, food, but the feeling when I realized I could buy a ticket to anywhere in the world, is what your 30's should feel like. Seeing Europe at 30 is not like seeing it at 60, like many people's parents generations.

-This has nothing to do with age, it's about your lifestyle. People spend their entire lives around the same people doing the same shyt.

-I had 2 kids by 21 & was working, doing shyt with my people, taking care of my kids, etc. The only time something changed was during my time with my ex fiance, after that I was doing the same shyt again.

-Now I'm saving to do some traveling.

I stopped actively pursuing women in my early to mid 30s. Women STILL throw the P, but I have too much to lose to accept offers and honestly sex doesn’t motivate me like it did in my 20s. The last young chick I smashed, I could’ve been her father we were so far apart in age. She pursued me.

Fun to me is hitting LA for a day and doing whatever or going to a good show. Fun used to involve pursuing a woman and knocking her down or hanging out with friends and talking shyt. I do neither these days.

I no longer get fly. I buy nice clothes and sneakers, but I dress age appropriate for where I live. Meaning no high price luxury brands or loud colors. It just looks sad when old people try to keep up with trends.

The most fun you’ll have is between your mid 20s and early 30s. After that, your focus should be on living a long and healthy life and if you have kids, setting them up to be successful.

That’s what I’m on. Last Saturday I was up at 4 AM to be on the road by 5 to get my daughter to her volleyball tournament in Orange County.

I survived and experienced a lot and I got my fun in while I was still young enough to enjoy it. I couldn’t imagine doing the things I used to do at my age. I’d be a clown. Out here smoking weed all day, drinking, doing yay and smashing broads I just met.

I’d rather go OT with my wife or out to dinner. My oldest is about to be in college for pre med in a year. My focus is mostly my kids and family.
So u still getting some side or you and your wife tag team ?

Compared to your 20s, does 30s:

-still get the same quality of women look wise

-still able to get fly(not ‘mature’ fly either. Street nikka fly )

-do ppl still invite you out

-are you still gonna have the same amount of spontaneous fun. Example in your 20s it isn’t uncommon to go on a weekend Binge just having fun and fukking hoz

-are women still as easy? Do you still have times where you have a one night stand in the car or something ?

Or is it just time to be a family man :mjcry:

33.

• Quality of women gets better if you're already attractive and in a decent sized city.

• I can still get street fly if i chose to, but I'm not really trying to attract young attention.

• I think this one is subjective. I'm a homebody so I don't care about being invited anywhere

• I don't think my spontaneity will change or go away completely. If anything, you may be more spontaneous since life is probably kicking your ass anyways and you just need to break away.

• Women are easiest if you're more attractive than them or if they're young and agreeable. I been in a long term relationship for awhile.

Keepin it a buck, the vast majority of 30 year olds do not prefer that decade over their 20s. They yearn for the past. They're Larry Holmes status, got draining kids, difficult marriages. Mysterious body pains. More demanding careers, more responsibility. Tired. Don't recover from the booze as fast. Jaded by the clubs. Friends are more family oriented, so no time for you, lonely etc.

Look around at your average 30 year old. Neckbeard introvert IPA drinkers.

I'm 37, none of that applies to me though :wow:

The only thing my 20s had over my 30s was less responsibility, energetic club hopping and weekend drinking and partying in the city.

30s are better because I have more money, I shedded the insecurities of my younger days, I'm more spontaneous and I have higher quality interests.

Nothing I did in my 20s at a club or with a random thot compares to 30 year old mature shyt like a quick trip to bora bora or dubai with my fiance.

If every decade ain't better than the last, you're doing it wrong.

mfs is jaded by clubs, larry holmes status and lonely in their 20s :sadcam:

plus less men going to college, jobs for non-degreed people not paying shyt, and mental health issues it's plenty of dudes in their 20s who can't afford to go clubbing every weekend or down bad and rather chill with their PS5

i think the dynamics will be different for prime/late millennials and gen z. the majority of young black men have no kids going into their 30s. Not as many men will peak in their early 20's like women

I think thirties might be funner and def more luxurious. In most of my 20s I was in work AND school AND had a bf...so lots of obligations

Then, since late 20s, I just get money..... you know how that goes lol
Yea but you know your 20s especially the years right after high school are a different type of fun you can’t really recapture
