Square is slang for a person who is conventional and old-fashioned, similar to a Fuddy-duddy. This sense of the word "square" originated with the American jazz community in the 1940s, in reference to people out of touch with musical trends.
At this point I don't know what a square is 100% but I'm damn proud to be one after seeing so many examples of the results of being the opposite

Self-described square here, I have a full time job and I'm home studying for certs when I'm not at my full time job; I go out and buy vinyl or go to local concerts at least every other week but that's it 
The black community version is
1. Not real popular especially among women
2. Not real sociable and out there
3. Same daily routines without any excitement. Not going to hang out in clubs, lounges , talking shyt
4. Not enough drama/craziness in your life
5. U not traveling down to Atlanta, Vegas or Miami, u know the same cheap trips nikkas do
Like I said be yourself and stay in your lane..
