What does it mean when people call you “Sir”

So a few people at work call me Sir back when I call their name, which I’m getting paranoid about. I’m 32yrs old so it’s not like I’m a senior citizen and they don’t refer to the other people at work even those much older than me by that. What could it mean?

I used to get called this at my job in a kind of comical tone, I'm 22.


Customers would call me this too every here and there
