LaVena was a PFC soldier in Iraq. Her body was found in a tent with a bullet to the head and was ruled a suicide. Can someone summarize? The article takes way too long to get to the point.

However forensic evidence proves otherwise. See the questions I posted.
My big gripe is how many people haven't heard of the story and how obvious the Military is covering this shyt up. It's just bullshyt, she was obviously raped and killed
I'm reading into it.. At first when I saw this, I thought it was faux story. But I did research and came across that article with the pictureby who? why would no one in her unit speak up

19 year old Private First Class (Pfc) Lavena Johnson (pictured above with her father) was found dead in a tent on the Balad military base in Iraq in 2005. Her injuries included broken teeth and bones, a severely bruised face, a gunshot wound to the head and acid burns to her vaginal area. Yet the US military ruled her death a suicide. Almost a decade later, her family is still seeking justice.
The photographs revealed that Lavena, a small woman, barely 5 feet tall and weighing less than 100 pounds, had been struck in the face with a blunt instrument, perhaps a weapon stock. Her nose was broken and her teeth knocked backwards. One elbow was distended. The back of her clothes had debris on them indicating she had been dragged from one location to another. The photographs of her disrobed body showed bruises, scratch marks and teeth imprints on the upper part of her body. The right side of her back as well as her right hand had been burned apparently from a flammable liquid poured on her and then lighted. The photographs of her genital area revealed massive bruising and lacerations. A corrosive liquid had been poured into her genital area, probably to destroy DNA evidence of sexual assault.

brehs.....I never had/heard any acquaintance , friend.. etc get sexually assaulted in my entire life
.....until I joined the military.
shyt's verybrehs.....
To put it in perspective, a month after I got out of basic training and was at Submarine school.... my friend was sexually assaulted by some ol Chris Bosh lookin nikka (mind you, this is an all male school). I said fukk that, joined the Naval Expeditionary Forces.
shyt was cool... then this fine ass female checked in and worked in my division. Of course, nikkas I never seen around this base in my life all up in our warehouse trying to strike up random conversation with her.. we tried to protect her as much as we can from these thirsty ass dudes, but lo and behold.... she went to a party with a whole bunch of dudes that we're stationed with us but didn't work with, she had a molly popped in her drink. Don't need to say much else but she got preggo of it. And the second most fukked up thing about this situation... the dude who raped her is still in and got no disciplinary boards or nothing of the sort (while my friend got swiftly thrown in the bushes inside a week for illegally driving a government vehicle... but that's another story)
The most fukked up thing about it is, that same dude gave another girl stationed here an STD.
Lots of foul things go on in the military (I should make a thread about the military fukkery), fukked up thing is that a lot of it does get swept under the rug. And I did my service, therefore I'm getting all the way the fukk out in a few months and going to school using this GI bill.
If you had children would you encourage them to join the military?
