that means the drought will be AT LEAST 13 seasons by then, and if Ricky's not starting either Tyus Jones became an all-star (won't happen), the team doesn't drop off at all from Ricky to Tyus (which means Tyus wouldn't start) or the drought's gonna continue. Option 3 looks like the safest bet
Jones won't need to be an all-star, the bar for being better than Rubio isn't very high

Growth from your young guys, specifically Wiggins & Towns will be enough to get you there, replacing Rubio with a more competent offensive threat that's solid in the PnR will be more than enough to help as well.
Davis, Bron, KD all got their teams to the playoffs by their 3rd years, and only the Thunder by year 3 had comparable all-around talent to what the Wolves have with Wiggins / Towns. Your pessimism won't work this time, you got a core, low key.
