Of course there are good white people, but here is why it means absolutely nothing. If push comes to shove, you better believe they will go into survival mode and toss you off the boat. So yeah they can be "good", but you still have to have your guard up at all times. No exceptions.
Most of the time when my dad and his generation said it ( born before 1940), it meant they weren’t overtly racist, or publicly racist. They usually treated us with respect and advocated for the bare minimum of human rights to be afforded to us.
Atticus Finch from To Kill A Mockingbird is an example but in Go Set A Watchman his racism gets out on full blast.

I'm not sure about good. Since the hatred is passed down like tradition, but the honest ones that dont act like they aren't or never were racist, don't avoid the topic of racism or overcompensate by borderline putting non white people on a pedestal to appear "pure" are the closest you can get to good.
