Shocked people haven't mentioned the most important factor for a boom period: luck.

You need a whole lotta luck and strike when something "special" happens to start a boom period. Good booking and good promoting are of course very important, specially because you need them to sustain the momentum, but every boom period needed lucky breaks to happen.

And boom periods aren't created on purpose, as much as we fantasy book interesting shyt and compelling angles, you gotta realize that shyt just kinda happens and you gotta know how to ride the wave and make the most out of it.

Having said that, you can't get lucky if your booking is as conservative has WWE's has been in the last decade+.

Competition and getting casual fans interested. Wrestling in the 80s got interesting once Vince declared war on NWA and in the 90s when Bischoff declared war.

The biggest hurdle is the fact people can get their fukkery fix from reality TV and their fighting fix from UFC so I'm not sure where these casual fans will come from.

It's not like there's a lack of them, they just only come out the woodwork between January and March.

The crowds kinda suck. You watch a show and the crowd isn't into it or there are multiple different reactions you gonna get a garbage show.

They should go back to producing the shows only in the Northeast, Chicago, St. Louis, and Canada. Those cities are rich in wrestling tradition and always hot.

Some in the Southeast as well...these cold crowds ruin way too many shows. Not to say the shows are great or anything but they would be a lot better if the crowds were actually into them and we didn't have to hear fake crowd dub overs.

the low end. southside chi
obviously another AE wouldn't work but I feel another new era would , they just need to revamp the entire product and change the entire concept of it , everything just seems so predictable , I don't really mind the PG , we just need to see something that hasn't been done before

If they keep going the route they're going now , the raitings will continue to fall and enter TNA levels (which I never thought would happen)
I really don't wanna see WWE go under but damn there product is terrible now , I don't see how anyone could watch 3 hours of it , ive been a fan since 1st grade I wanna see them bounce back

What need to be done , obviously fire Dunn and the 3 hours again but what needs to be done for the entertainment

They need to stop trying to monopolize wrestling
Also stop puthing out crap

Wcw kick started the last boom period with the nwo while the wwe added in their share with the attitude era. Ecw was also a huge reason why the boom period became bigger considering that they set the trend for that hardcore/edgy feeling to the game.:dame:

Even if you look at the boom period before that, nwa and awa had a major contribution on the market.:dame:

Simply put the wwe can't do it alone. Other promotions have to greatly contribute which is why it will never happen because the wwe`s grip is too strong on the market.:francis:
