to create a greater female presence you would need to give them features that cater to them specifically. idk what the forum really wants to do or be about but to have extra females you would need things like a gender icon when you post or pink colored names and various custom identifiers like that. you would need forums and sub forums specific to women like a relationship forum, a celeb gossip forum, a hair care sub forum etc. you would need female style skins like pink and white etc and you would need to add smileys that arent purely directed at usage by 20+ something males. most of the smileys are only relevant to you if you are a dude that watches sports. you would need more celeb and female smileys like drake trey songz and nicki minaj, nh not just comedy sports type smileys.


right now the forum is designed really for only one kind of person and if it wants to grow its going to have to expand to accommodate different kinds of persons. so there is basically a ceiling that we probably have already hit or are about to hit unless you start catering to different demographics. you might even have to change the name to something more general like world star hip hop which is not really a site about hip hop more or less buts its just a good general name.

the board right now isnt montezied with ads or anything but if at any point it was, you would start having to be forced to grow out and to do these kinds of things to create any surplus value.

the board cool right now to me but to get even bigger it would have to make some demographic oreinted changes here and there and that would probly make a lot of dudes hot now that i think about it. now that i think about it most of yall would probably be against these things.

BK...putting the 1st thread ever by the Coli into a Forum of Fame.Sort of how a businessman frames his 1st dollar. The site should frame its 1st thread at least. It doesnt have to be platinum (100 replies)+. You can kind of show the growth of this site over time.On April 30th started off as a few and now on May 8th its 1700+

I like how on other boards (mainly kanyetothe) there is a button next to the thread title to go straight to the unread post of that particular thread.

This is a great feature I've enjoyed on other message boards. No more scrolling constantly to find out where you last left a thread.

I also think all the forum names should have a Roman theme for the sake of continuity...some suggestions...

Knowledge ----> The Podium
TSC -----> The Arena (for Wrestling, Boxing, MMA)
The Reelness ----> The Forum
Just Buggin Out -----> The Brothel
The Gym ----> The Gymnasium
Event Staff ----> The Senate

Yea we need a ladies forum but don't let all the retards come in and scare the girls away. Treat it like the knowledge forum restrict access to anyone that goes in to troll. It's nice to get advice and views from the ladies.

I agree with this...Leave the general discussion for the locker room, but have a forum that the ladies will flock to that is moderated more strictly...maybe something like "The Velvet Room" for discussions geared around relationships, life, and girly shyt"

Female POV is valuable, and it'll take the forum to new heights to be frank. (SN, I think the SOHH female population dwindled because most girls don't know how to access private email addresses .)

Also, I think moderators should get cycled out every year (or maybe even less) so the boards stay enjoyable to them, the power doesn't go to their heads, and posters don't have to worry too much about developing long-term grudges with them.

I'm not going to suggest any real forum additions since I'm sure they've already been captured here but first of all I wanted to thank the coli team. Forum is awesome and y'all listen to the people and it's actually MORE civil here than it ever was at SOHH. So that's impressive.

Secondly, I wanted to say that if you ever need another server upgrade or bandwidth upgrade, I'd like to see if there are any optimizations we can look into to prolong that - I'm offering to help on that.

i mean it would make it more controlled and safe but also it would give people less to do while they are here. more and more features makes the interaction more complex vs simple/basic and therefore more addictive

co sign replacing mods and chat room and IM system for everybody would be some other shyt
