  • Proper Jack, Jack Stands, Wheel Chocks
  • Full Size Spare
• Repairs on the Road
  • Jumper cables (essential skill)
  • Ratchet/wrench set
  • Duct Tape, Electrical Tape
  • Chilton Manual
• One of those emergency kits (flares, triangles)
  • cash money for just in case
• Blanket
• Some bottles of water
• An old road atlas from my days for selling door to door (pre gps)

Tools at the crib

• Proper Jack, Jack Stands, Wheel Chocks
• Full ratchet and wrench set
• Oil filter wrench and drain pan
• Torque Wrench and Breaker Bar
• Chilton Manual is nice, but most repairs are on Youtube these days (fixing stuff is both harder and easier - easier because of tutorials, harder because MFRs are making things harder to fix on purpose/for profit for fuel efficiency/climate change)

Very Optional - But I like Detailing my own car.

• Detailer's Spray, distilled water, and microfleece clothes in the trunk for spot cleaning
• 2 Buckets, Mitt, Hose Attachment
• Car Soap, Detailing Clay, Polish, Wax, wheel brush, and tire shine,
• Rain X for the windows, air freshener for the ride, something to protect the plastic in the car

i'm in vegas, and i just bought one of those theft lock bars that goes on your steering wheel. 20 bucks on amazon

pretty much 0 reason not to use it takes 5 seconds. im reading stories of people getting their car stolen in parking lots, and even in their own apartment complexes. plus, the visual might even deter one of these pieces of shyt who just smash windows
