i work for a local non profit... i should know by now but i never cease to be amazed at how charitable the city is. i remember a couple months back, in the spring this little girl turned 7. and for her birthday, rather than askin for personal gifts like most kids she asked everyone to bring books that her mom wound up donatin to us. over 80 books... it dont sound like nothin til you think about it... like damn... from a 7 yr old that thought of this ALL on their own??? :dwillhuh: :wow:

I've never had nothing happen to me like that but it seems like I'm always helping people out like it's an instinct. You name it helping old ladies or blind people cross the street, running after some ladies hat that the wind took, saving some kid's dog from getting run over. No :troll: I always seem to be in the right place at the right time.

:obama: I like this thread, will go back and read the rest.

This weekend I had a Saturday afternoon appointment with my barber, things happened and I couldnt make it :sadcam: I havent been in like 2 weeks either so a nikka needed a cut. :to:
He tells me come through, bruh opened the spot just for me. Then didnt even charge me :obama:
We smoked 2 Ls and went to go get some grub all on his dime, i was like "You awfully generous breh :leostare:"
he says "You're in college breh, thats some shyt I can support. As long as you do great things and support those in need". It sounds like some shyt straight out of a Mcdonalds commercial but I shyt yall not, I was like :dwillhuh: that whole morning.

Barbers can be good people. I remember once my hair was looking rough, only had bread for a shapeup and dude looked at me like :usure: thats all you want. Then was like I know you in school and its rough and was just like dont worry about it and gave me a full cut. I also went to a barber like a week before Christmas dude was whack as fukk, shapeup was all dull and shyt. Went to another barber across town just in time b4 they closed, told him the story and he fixed my shyt up for free as well.

It's hard to have faith in humanity

Sometimes I honestly feel like the Pigeon Man from that Hey Arnold episode. It's like yeah, there are a few Arnolds out there.....but there are so many more nikkas like Harold/Stinky/Sid who just like to fukk shyt up for no reason :smh:

I don't mean to be selfish but this one time I drive to the corner store to buy two dutches and a scratch card. I buy what I need and I get in my car and see this old ass lady looking like she was about to pass out from the heat. She comes up to me asking for the nearest bus stop. I told her to get in and I'd take her where she needs to go. To my surprise she got in the car and i dropped her off home. When she gets out the car she thanks me and I grab a quarter and scratch my ticket. Ya boy won 20 bucks :smugfavre:

One time I was in Japan, backpacking & really broke. I only had a few dollars left for Kyoto and had to choose between two things:

1. Eating at this one ramen spot I'd been plotting on the whole time I was there
2. Going to the museum which was also something I'd been wanting to do.

So there I was posted up outside the museum, thinking about how much it fukking sucked to be broke. I was only 17 or 18 and had been travelling alone for weeks, so I was really on some :to: shyt...

Then an old man walks up to me and hands me a ticket to the museum :dwillhuh:. I told him I couldn't give him any money, and he just smiled and said he had an extra ticket.

I don't know why but that experience in particular stands out to me.. Dude just let me have a ticket prob because he saw how sad I looked, it was a small thing but meant a lot to me at the time.

Thank you old Japanese man.

I've let friends and family in less fortunate situations borrow money and forgive the debt. Talking amounts totaling thousands of dollars.

If I ever am able to be fortunate enough to cop the newest shyt, I usually give my old shyt away. Given away clothes, old video games & game systems, computers, iphones, etc.

I give to the homeless often.

Gave a kid in who plays at the park in my neighborhood a pair of my sneakers when his only pair had holes in them and he was getting clowned cause of it.

I'm not expecting anything back. The Good Lord has blessed me with so much that I can't complain.

Outpouring of support after Hurricane Sandy, even during these tough economic times, is touching to me as well. :to:
