marketing, promotion and he's P Diddy, thats a huge intangible asset.
Yep,puff owns an ad agency. if nothing else they know the urban market better than any company not named translation (steve stoute). every puff and puff associated artist has a 8 second screenshot of that ciroc on viral vids. that's what people see and think is behind all of this...nah
it was a bucket-blessing to find a "luxury" brand of alcohol struggling to find its footing in a market dominated by other brands, take their misfortune, leverage that into a deal, then promote the hell out of it as an insider within an industry that sells ideas of luxury whilst in the middle of many of the places that has alcohol present.
the flavor thing put it over the top though. im sure dame thought armadale could have done this before, but truth is, there was nothing to separate it from the grey goose's and ketel one's in terms of quality, and it lacked familiarity. flavors were like a liquor reset. the playing field was equal and he pushed the flavors harder than any other company. when that red berry and coconut hit, it sent ciroc into another stratosphere. people who don't even like liquor could stomach those sweet mixes. dunno what puff's input was with the flavors, but at the very least he gets credit for making the consumer aware of them.
I don't even drink like that bro. I had a beer last weekend for the first time in 4 1/2 years, but I don't knock what other nikkas is drinking and his tone is on some c00n shyt.
Dont forget

Selling sweet beverages to spooks is as easy as selling dreams to a teenage runaway...
Thats only a c00n comment on the surface but as usual theres levels to this shyt. Like gator said, the "fruity liquor" hustle is not new in any way just google the term "bum wine".
Ciroc is literally the 2013 Grown and Sexy 2.0 15 dollar cover version of Mad Dog 20/20, and fruit punch flavored St. Ides. They even got our sistas drinking strawberry flavored Bud Light now![]()
Who cares though? If that's what they want to drink them.
True. Agreed.
But just a rule of thumb: If they put sugar in it then it is:
1. shytty alcohol and the sugar covers the taste
2. For women
3. For children
Another idiot
How Ciroc got popular in the first place is be air it uses grapes to make the vodkas instead of potatoes
Great sustained marketing and branding that ended up making ciroc to vodka what hennessy is to cognac...
What is more puzzling to me is how in the hell did moscato become the hood's wine of choice...no particular brand or company, but after that Timberland/Drake song in like '09 hood broads all over the country started swearing by fukking moscato like it was the nectar of the gods...I know wine makers got those first quarterly returns when that sh!t blew up and went![]()
