First half of the season he was setting home run records, but since the all star break he's been setting strikeout records. How does such a steep dropoff happen in the same season? What does the future hold for Judge, in your opinion?

It's his first full year in the league. Pitchers figured out how to pitch him, and made the necessary adjustments.

He's just going through what most rookies go through. It's just more pronounced with him because the media was already carving his Cooperstown plaque after three months.

More than likely, nothing.

He posted an absurdly high BABIP of .426 in the 1st half, and he's at .250 for the 2nd half.
Sure there's an adjustment that happens around the league, but it's not like his power was a surprise. Teams were trying to jam him up inside early in the season too. I don't think there's any secret that the league has on him.

I'll just say that he's in a slump and he's been a bit unlucky.
It's ugly, to be sure. His K-rate went up 5% which is probably him pressing a bit. But his BB rate is stable.

He'll be fine.

My Pops Forever RIP
Rookie + HR Derby + Pitchers changing approach = massive slump
Can we stop blaming the Derby for Judge? Stanton was in the same Derby and went off in the 2nd half. shyt, Gary Sanchez was in the same Derby an he went off in the 2nd half.

A player as big as him has a big ass strike zone to cover. He still hasn't completely gotten used to that. Also, so much came to him so soon that inevitably he's gonna feel that pressure. He went from hitting at the bottom of the order on a team with house money and being a pleasant surprise to being the guy who has to carry a team to the playoffs. He'll get it together soon enough and he'll have really good seasons after this, but the best half of a season he'll ever have happened already.
