So Festus Ezeli isn't a good post defender? I guarantee you won't find 1 poster on this board that would agree with that.

I doubt you'd find more than 3 guys who watch enough to speak on Festus Ezeli at all.

One of them is you. One of them is me. So I'm not worried. Ezeli doesn't move the needle, he's an average positional defender with average hands, and below average lateral movement with BAD defensive recognition. He's a fringe backup, and doesn't move the needle.

And even with him backing up injury risk bogut, that's still not great depth.


Again, we're splitting hairs trying to pick out a weakness on the best, most well rounded team in basketball. But if we're going to identify it... that's my pick. Lot's of good defenders, but not lots of great interior defenders.

Dude was the starting center the first year we got to the playoffs for the majority of the season when Bogut was hurt and he was a rookie. This is only his second season playing and he's wreaking havoc defensively when he's out there. You're wrong on this one but you're usually wrong.

At the time Udoh was a top 10 defensive forward. He went to Milwaukee and stopped trying. Golden State really doesn't have any MAJOR weakness. My personal opinion however is that too many of their points in general boils down to straight up talent from Curry and Thompson. It's not something you can prepare for, it's not something you can coach and with that said I don't think it's something you can count on day in and day out for the entirety of their playoff run.

Their defense isn't great but it isn't bad enough to where it's a liability against too many teams.
