We was chatting in the commons after class and they was getting on my mans for not lifting weights. He said he don’t need to lift weights and he faster than everyone at the table who lifts weights consistently

nikkas told him speed was useless as an adult and grown nikkas only need to be strong, all that other shyt useless

I kinda see both sides of it but I don’t agree that Speed is useless for a grown man

I also think COD/Agility is the most important athletic trait for grown nikkas, especially seeing how many nikkas tear they ACL, Achilles and Meniscus as we get older

can we combine some into dexterity?

Body control is crazy important as you grow older
Body control is very important

I’d say body control is a mix of agility and flexibility

Being able to control your deceleration could be the difference between a torn ACL and moving on to the next rep of your workout

I got more speed than raw power but I work out almost everyday. More into stretches and cycling type activities than lifting, but I do have a set of weights for home use

I have no disablities, my bones dont hurt when it gets cold, I dont have any back pain. Knees are healthy. Dont wear glasses, never been prescribed medication. Smoke weed everyday, mid 40s.

Raw power alone will get you hurt. Not only does it elevate your chance for pulling a muscle, I've noticed middle age weightlifters tend to develop all kinds of injuries that start small and escalate into surgeries. Your local warehouse/Amazon is full of raw power individuals who cant lift anything without a back brace. They cant drive home without a back brace. They wear those dumb ass pillow around they neck at the airport cause their back and neck hurt everywhere they go. That could never be me.

I've also read a good indicator of your bodies longevity is if u have the ability to lay down on the floor and stand up without using your arms. I do that everyday with no issue, I couldnt imagine being my age with all kinds of mobility problems.

Muscles turn into flab, speed and flexibility will keep you healthy and active for decades
