He's max level (abilities, health, etc), he's fighting a specific set of enemies (no spear throwers, Captains, etc) and he's at the starting area of the game. The second half (which he never shows), is much harder; hounds, giants, poison and so forth. It was posted on a gamefaqs thread where experienced players of the game pretty much posted the very same replies I did. He was trollin.
You could do that with any game; Batman, DMC, Dynasty Warriors Franchise, etc. When you have all your abilities and health on max, the game should be easy.

but he wasn't, he also stated that the game was easy in his review of the game, the only reason he made this video was because people gave him shyt for saying t and he isn't the only one.
The combat is too far too forgiving and easy for it to have the best combat in all of video games(and im not one of those guys that believes the harder X is the better it is), it make look cool(just like sleeping dogs and AssCreed 3) but it's piss easy.
and "much harder" doesn't really mean all that much considering what is shown in that video.

yes, yes, im aware that in these games there are stronger enemies that require different tactics or were you cant use certain moves on certain enemies(for example, in sleeping dogs you can only grab a grappler when he has low health or is stunned) but these never really do anything for the game's combat, fights with these enemies are tedious but they usually aren't that much harder.
and he showed a spear thrower in his review(skip to 4:25), he states that he has killed warchiefs just by clicking the left mouse button, and he kills a captain in the video

Does he use a lot of max level abilities in the video? For the most part he just left clicks, right clicks. And is the combat drastically different when you don't have the abilities or is it he same but things just take a bit longer? Are you still invincible when you're vaulting over someone in the middle of the game? Does your attack animation cancel the moment you press the counter button in the middle of the game? Even here the game looks extremely easy

Its been already handled, I've handled this on Gamefaqs, as did many others, best we move on, you're not telling me anything I don't already know. The question in OP's thread is "The best combat", not the "easiest" or "hardest". If freeflow combat is considered the best in third person action games currently...then Shadow of Modor would take it, with the abilities and mobility alone.

It made me feel like I was watching the movie.
The burly brawl, wall running, and qte's were great, at the time this was the game to beat...then Rocksteady released Batman...and freeflow combat became king. Don't get me wrong, I played the burly brawl section repeatedly.

Yo that stair case fight
Those framedrops made it even dope, watching all those bits and pieces of ninja's flying all over the place in slow motion.

I've been waiting patiently for someone to remake a Matrix game, but I don't think it's gonna happen anytime soon
