Imma be real. Sometimes I just want peace. I'm not a fan of getting gifts.

Let me cook something, pick a movie and chill. She can make the dessert but just chill. Don't complain about the movie. Don't talk to me about work. Most of the time we do what she wants bc it's easier for me.

One of the most fun times we had recently was after hurricane ida and our power was off a week and a half. I grilled, we played board games, cards by flashlight and talked. Even played hide and go get it I like when we both let go and have fun with no worries. I hope that counts as a gift

Sometimes the gifts y'all think is trash be the best to us. Once my girl got me this boars hair wave brush kit with different texture bristles and a legit Egyptian silk wave cap and I was cheesing like . She thought it was something she just threw together but I loved it. Everytime I brushed and put the durag on she said I turned into a light skin nikka bc I looked at her like this

Anything practical? An experience maybe? Something completely simple or unheard of? Just doing some research here.

Buy NBA 2k22, a 6-pack of his favorite beer (or bottle of scotch, or bag of weed, etc...), and takeout from his favorite restaurant.

Leave the food and 2K on the counter, beer in the fridge, and you and the kids go stay in a hotel for the night.
