When you bulky and lose weight, you can end up looking older than you actually are. Kinda like fat folks that get skinny look kinda sickly. 5th look like he lost about 25 lbs of muscle and at his age, that'll age you visually.

Not sure why if he's playing Balrog he lost weight though, because Balrog even non-anime Balrog is bulkier than 50 by a lot.
