Ya'll always do this lol...

ASAP Rocky is in the same position J. Cole was when he dropped his debut, got decent acclaim, sold records, etc. Ya'll started making "what happened to J. Cole" threads, remember?

Like Cole, Rocky has that fanbase in tact now, and it's not going anywhere. Once he finishes up his album and drops a single, the ball will start rolling and his 2nd LP, much like Cole's, will most likely be even more successful than his debut.

Artists don't have to be a headline every fukkin day to have staying power brehs...

and as far as my nikka Ferggie, Trap Lord was an AOTY :lawd:

on the real tho, them nikkas been finishing up that ASAP album for a few years now...they whole crew ridiculous, and aside from Rocky and Ferg, you can tell the rest of them nikkas comfortable being weed carriers...them nikkas got they own production squad and everything, but have only dropped 4 projects between the whole crew since what, 2011?
And all of them have been successful :beli: Quantity =/= Quality. Let's see ASAP put out something and it not exceed expectations before we say they've done anything wrong. Because all they've done so far is put out a mixtape that got everyone a deal, two years later an album that goes #1, and a crew mixtape that launches one of its members into a top 10 album. They haven't made a wrong move yet. Twelvy's Escape video has over a million views (it seems he might be the next solo act, I'd expect him to have a few solo joints in their next mixtape/album the same way Ferg had a few on Lords Never Worry) on youtube now and they just did the video for Hella Hoes.

Those dudes and whoever is working with them has done great work with their careers.

drake fukked the game up. continuously release content that all sounds exactly the same and never attains a level of quality as brehs who put out projects every couple years. now everyone expected to live up tho those mediocre standards.

:mindblown:

the internet has fukked up an entire generation of music listeners.

drake's the last nikka who'd come to mind :comeon: nikka aint did nothin wayne didn't do during his run feature-wise, he only put out 3 projects since 08

not gonna address the quality part cuz that comes down to preference, all i know is everything the jew puts out turns into some type of slogan or catchphrase :yeshrug:

Certz Up ..... Hoezzzz down .....
that crew, and asap in particular, peaked awhile ago. Some artists remain focused when they start to blow and maintain their success, while others start believing their own hype, and focus on drugs and bytches and how much of a superstar they think they are. There are a million other variables that go into it, but the general orientations of a star that begins to fade are usually all the same. The entertainment industry has chewed up and spit out a lot better niccas

Drake Wayne and others like them have fukked up the game by being everywhere all at once.

Over saturation.

I'd rather an artist put out work, then go dormant for a few cultivating some new work, while letting what was previously released properly marinate.

Wanting new music and features from artists every week is why these artists churn out fast food quality, throwaway music watering down the genre.

Rocky and Ferg are nikkas I'm watching, while there LPs are a strong 3.5/5 to me I feel like brehs have plenty of room to develop further to end up on top of the game. They put out not just rap music, but music with an actual artistic quality different than your usual trap boom bap mustard and cocaine, schmoney and gang that everybody does
